The City of Fort Bragg is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Planner to join our team in a full-time capacity.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Planning Director, the Senior Planner plays a critical role in shaping the future of Fort Bragg. This position leads major planning projects, spearheads long-range planning initiatives, and manages complex development applications.

The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and solution-oriented, capable of balancing regulatory requirements with community vision. Additionally, the Senior Planner is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Planning Department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage major planning projects and long-term planning initiatives.
* Review and oversee large development applications and land use proposals.
* Provide technical guidance and support to planning staff and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal planning regulations.
* Collaborate with city manager, developers, and the public to shape Fort Bragg’s future growth.
* Manage daily Planning Department operations, workflows, and priorities.
