The City of Elk Grove Public Works Department is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join the Operations and Maintenance division. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of landscape maintenance principles and standards, basic irrigation system troubleshooting, and the ability to make sound decisions. This position will primarily work in various City owned landscape areas including District 56 and Old Town Plaza, the City of Elk Grove’s premier public spaces. This position requires significant public interaction, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and initiative.
