Salary: $147,168.00 - $164,482.00 + full benefits

Join the City of Boise's Public Works executive team! The Public Works Deputy Director Water Renewal Services assists the director with oversight of the overall planning and operation of Boise's Water Renewal Services utility including wastewater collection and treatment, facilities operations and maintenance, and water quality compliance. This new role is part of a departmental restructuring aimed at streamlining operations, improving leadership for better decision-making and oversight, and creating new career opportunities.

  • Responsible for setting and driving strategic vision of Water Renewal Services, and ensuring the utility is delivering reliable services to Boise residents and businesses.
  • Provides direction to management, supervisory, professional, technical and other support staff.
  • Coordinates with other deputy directors to ensure alignment on standardized processes across the department.
  • The position requires significant initiative, judgment, and decision-making under administrative direction and serves at-will to the Public Works Director.
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in related field and 15 years progressively responsible experience.
