The City is seeking a Public Works Director to work in an organization among professionals who are motivated, energetic, and hard working while simultaneously enjoying their work and working together. The Public Works is an executive-level position with a high level of responsibility and presence that will require the successful candidate to foster, develop, and maintain trust, partnerships, and connections with the City team, City Council, regulatory agencies and others in order to affectively lead the Public Works Department, manage operations, deliver services, accomplish projects, and secure grant funding.

This position requires a passion for public service with combination of education, experience and passion for public service with an equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field; 7 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in public works operations, water utilities operations, or capital projects management, including 4 years of management and/or supervisory experience. California licensing as a Professional Engineering (PE) is desirable. The projected annual salary range of the position is $148,153 to $198,540 depending on education and qualifications, and the City provides an excellent benefit package.
