$3,820 to $5,012 biweekly - fully benefited position

City of Sacramento, Department of Utilities (DOU) Engineering Services Division is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our drainage/wastewater team. The primary role of this position will be to carry out and manage stormwater master planning, but will also include supporting our capital improvement, operations and maintenance, asset management, and flood plain management programs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will have: a degree in a Water Resource, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or related discipline; 5 or more years of related professional experience; professional engineering license in the State of California; experienced with XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM and other hydraulic modeling software; experience in the use of ArcGIS; strong understanding of hydraulics/hydrology related to land development; experience in flood risk management; and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
Responsibilities include project management, participating in selection and oversight of consultant engineers, completing engineering planning studies, and checking computations and materials for accuracy and conformance with regulations. Other duties include preparation of various applications for State and Federal grants, and assisting in preparation and administration of budget and capital improvement plan.
