This position will provide water resources engineering services for the Metro District, which include, and is not limited to:
• Conduct and review water resources engineering work in the design, construction, and maintenance of highways systems in the MnDOT Metro area. The position will complete and oversee preliminary and final water resources design using Open Roads Designer (ORD), HydroCAD and other water resources design software.
• Obtain water resources permits.
• Negotiate agreements, easements, and cost sharing for water resources requirements.
• Supervise team and workload.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review consultant prepared construction plans for drainage and storm water treatment features to insure MnDOT standards are followed, and regulatory concerns and requirements are satisfied.
• Resolve drainage and erosion control issues.

Salary: Up to $116,197/annually
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity. (If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)
